What defines a great photo? what defines a great photographer? i wish i knew the answer. it seems to me that now with all the dslr's out and about that anyone can be a decent potographer. so what really seperates the auto point shoot guy from the on assignment professional colleged degreed man? since the move away from film, it appears to be a downward slide into a industry full of cheap replaceable photographers who will seemingly work for little just to work at a brand name company. so how can these workers get to that point at which they're considered great photographers? matter of fact how do i get there? there's got to be a way to improve my chances, or even improve myself in order to become a great photographer. every book i pick up has the same basic chapters camera settings, lighting, composition then maybe moves on to more complicated areas such as people and landscapes. what are your ideas on instruction books and such material?
